Therapies We Offer
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
A personalised ‘talking therapy’, CBT focuses on reshaping negative thought patterns, behaviours, and beliefs that might hinder addiction recovery. CBT equips patients with the ability to identify potential relapse triggers, enabling them to change their reactions and hence, the outcomes. CBT offers techniques to manage emotions and respond positively to different situations.
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
For those who feel emotions intensely, DBT encompasses four elements – core mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a therapy that is recognised as an effective treatment for PTSD symptoms. EMDR is founded on the notion that inadequate memory processing causes these distressing symptoms and through directed eye movements it targets these memories with the aim of modifying how they’re stored in the brain.
12 Step Therapy
12 Step therapy treats addiction via a series of guiding principles that help you overcoming addiction – promoting personal responsibility and long-term sobriety. The 12 Steps are a journey of personal growth through self-reflection and the philosophy that helping others in recovery strengthens your own sense of purpose and resolve.
